About a group of youngsters in the underworld, lotsa killings & gangfights going on..... Fei Chuen is a very ambitous guy who wants to be a Big Brother, he was lucky to meet his Big Big Brother, Piu. To be promoted, he has to kill a guy called Paul. He does so & got promoted to a Big brother. After that, he was listed as the " Top 10 'outstanding' teenagers " in the police force, and was thus wanted by the police. One of his good friends, Fat Lion, got brutally killed by a guy named Brother 19. Fei Chuen didn't care about anything else, he only wanted revenge, so he headed for 19's place & killed him. 19's Big brother was very unhappy about this & he happened to be of a higher rank than Piu, no matter how hard Piu tried to fend for Fei Chuen, he couldn't win the majority's view, which is to sacrifice Fei Chuen. Fei Chuen was then wanted by both BLACK & WHITE ( underground & police )... A phrase repeated in show a couple of times: " If you are lucky, you'll end up in prison; if you are unlucky, you'll end up in a coffin up the hill". Well, when Fei Chuen realised the truth in this statement, it is too late... (ML)

Character Analysis: Very cool! And in my opinion, better than Ekin's gangster roles--a lot more realistic!

JC - While his girlfriend Anita Yuen Wing Yi's star may have fallen, Julian Cheung Chi Lam's star continues to rise as he begins to mature as an actor. Off his acclaimed peformance on TVB's Cold Blood Warm Heart, Chi Lam plays a young gangster who eventually learned the err of his ways. Almost without the flash and glorification of the Triad in Young and Dangerous, the path Chi Lam took in this film was a little less comic book like and more realistic. The final scene meant well but was still expected. Overall, a film worth watching as one of the contrast to the successful Young and Dangerous.

JMF - Nothing special about this entry in the Triad Boyz genre. Julian Cheung is a hotheaded punk who uses his rashness and lack of morals to rise through the underworld, making many enemies along the way. Of course, the filmmakers make it look like plenty of fun, until the obligatory violent ending. But the moralizing at the end doesn't make up for the outright glamorizing of triad life over the first 3/4 of the movie. It's not like the movie has any power anyway. I'm sorry, but pretty boy Julian Cheung just doesn't make for a very intimidating figure. And frail, delicate Allen Ting is really miscast as Julian's womanizing, tough-guy best friend. I only wish the real Triad Society was made up of such powder puffs.

ML - This is one of my favourite shows. No, it's my favourite movie of Chi Lam!! Yes, I love Fei Cheun the most, of all of Chi Lam's characters in his movies. It's a pity that it's banned in S'pore, what a waste!! It's the 1st time Chilam acts a negative character & he acted it very convincingly. Also, the rhythm of the theme song ( written by Chilam !! & one of my favourite songs ) fits perfectly into the show. Chi lam really and truly look like a secret society guy, filled with revenge when his good friend died. Also he's very loyal to his society and will never ruin its reputation.
